We’ve already had a wave of Goodwood Festival of Speed announcements on cars getting their UK debut, from the Jaguar XKR-S to the Mugen Honda CR-Z. And now it’s Citroen’s turn for a few debut announcements. Probably the most significant is the first public viewing in the UK of the next iteration in the DS range – the Citroen DS4, which was actually revealed almost a year ago.
The 40th Anniversary 2008 Mustang Cobra Jet, announced about a year ago, has been such a huge success for Ford Racing that the company will build a 2010 model, available later this year. Like the '08 CJ, just 50 examples of the turnkey race car will be built, the minimum number to homologate the car for competition in National Hot Rod Association events. An '08 Cobra Jet won its inaugural event in the Stock Eliminator Class in February at the NHRA Winternationals in Pomona, Calif., just as the original 1968 Cobra Jet did.
The newly remodeled Cobo Center will host the 11th annua lAmerican Cancer Society Cattle Baron's Ball this Saturday with Chrysler as the presenting sponsor. Over the past decade, the event has raised over $10 million to help with efforts to combat cancer and to support those currently battling the disease.
